This Weekend at UUCL

On Saturday, Oct. 17 at 9 a.m., UUCL Choir
will rehearse in the Sanctuary. Anyone who enjoys singing is encouraged
to join in; we always learn upcoming hymns as well as choral pieces, so
it's fun for singers of all abilities.
On Sunday, Oct. 18 at 10 a.m., Religious Exploration for Youth convenes in the RE Complex while the Adult Discussion Group meets
in the Social Hall to hash over the thorny issue of reducing
consumption in an industrial-consumerist society. It should be, as
always, a lively conversation.
At 11 a.m., Director of Religious Exploration Heather Curry leads our our monthly Intergenerational Sunday Service,
in which all ages gather together to celebrate and explore. The theme
this week is "Lifetimes," or the way the interconnected web of
existence shapes us and binds us to one another and all that is.
At 12:30 p.m., the UUCL Visibility Committee will meet; anyone with ideas and enthusiasm for spreading the good news of UUism in Polk County is invited to attend.
At 2 p.m., EarthFamilies Evensong Gathering celebrates its monthly Craftwork ritual and fellowship in the Sanctuary.
I hope you can share in one of these activities.
In faith,
