Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Lakeland

Last Sunday EarthFamilies, the chapter of the Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans (CUUPS) hosted by the UU Congregation of Lakeland, was joined by UUCL minister and world renowned drummer Rev Bonnie Devlin. 

Rev Devlin is the only woman ever initiated as a Huntogi (ceremonial drum master) in the Haitian folk religious tradition.  With the help of EarthFamilies members she created a pair of YouTube videos to teach the Haitian drum rhythm "Ibo".   Fellow drummers across the globe requested that she make a video so other drum leaders can learn the rhythm and use it to help raise funds for Haiti through Drumming Up Hope.
