UUC Lakeland

EarthFamilies

EarthFamilies is a chapter of CUUPS, the Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans.

We welcome practitioners of all earth-centered faith traditions, including but not limited to Wicca, Druidism, Native American spirituality, ChristoPaganism, Ceremonial magick, Pagan-identified UU-ism, Goddess-focused paths, Faerie, and Shamanism. We also welcome individuals who choose not to name their practices.

We are pleased that the UU Congregation of Lakeland has chosen to host us and share their resources with EarthFamilies. Many of our group members are also members of the UU, but that affiliation is not required to join or participate in EarthFamilies.

Our only requirements are that participants treat one another with respect and work to abide by the basic tenant of Pagan ethics, "Harm none." We accept all people and make no distinction based on race, class, gender, orientation, or bodiedness.

EarthFamilies Evensong is our 2pm service on Sundays.  Our current Evensong Gathering schedule is:

  • First Sundays Group Study "The Druidry Handbook" by John Michael Greer (beginning April 2010).
  • Second Sundays Drum and Rhythm Circle Beginner friendly, instruments available
  • Third Sundays Craftwork Rituals, Tools, Practices and Workshops
  • Fourth Sundays Movie Sunday Film viewings, social outings
  • Fifth Sundays We offer 11am Main Service at UUCL No 2pm Gathering

In January 2010, EarthFamilies celebrated its 5th Anniversary as a CUUPS chapter with a tasty cookout. Yum!
