Potluck, every second Sunday!

Please join us every second Sunday, following the service at 12:00 noon, for a potluck in the Social Hall. It’s a great chance to make new acquaintances and visit with old friends.

Welcome

“Are you looking for a community of seekers who respect the differences between people and affirms every person as an individual, no matter their race, age, ability, gender, or whom they love?

Are you eager to find a church that acts locally and thinks globally on the great issues of our time—world peace, women’s rights, racial justice, homelessness, gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender rights, and protection of the environment?

That’s great!  You’ll find a place here where love is shared and everyone is worth something here, no matter what.  Stop by and see us Sunday morning and check us out  All are welcome, regardless of belief, so we hope you’ll find what you’re looking for!”

Fellowship at UUCL

“Uniting in diversity; advocating for love and justice.”

These words, our mission statement, are the heart of fellowship at the UU Congregation of Lakeland. Our inclusive community strives to be a safe space for diverse people to come together and work toward a just, compassionate world.

Sunday Mornings – Starting at 10:00 am. you’ll find a host of uplifting options.

  • Share your vision during Adult Discussion Group
  • Take up the song at Chancel Choir practice
  • Help our children grow their faith during Religious Exploration hour.

At our 11 a. m. service, you will find a friendly diverse crowd, intent on experiencing the sacred, and raising one another up in fellowship.

After our 11 a.m. service, enjoy coffee and conversation on the campus patio and explore the UUCL Library.  Plan to stay for one of our alternating Sunday afternoon faith exploration offerings, and don’t miss second Sundays, when we share food and fellowship during our monthly potluck lunch.

Throughout the Week

  • Join us on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 6:30 to 7:30 for Sanctuary Lakeland; a place to explore your inner creative spirit.
  • Join the choir, and feel moved by song and cheered by the good humor of people working together.
  • Attend Adult Exploration classes on topics as diverse as money and spirituality, understanding Islam, or becoming fluent in the language of faith.

Ongoing

Since the heart of Unitarian Universalism is service, we also invite you to join in the work of the congregation both at our church home and by taking action for social justice in our larger community.

At the UU Congregation of Lakeland, we believe that good people, working together, can accomplish great things. We invite you to join us.
