11:00 a.m. – Worship Service
The Many Faces of Motherhood. On this Mother’s Day, let us think of mothering in all of its facets, biological, adoptive, foster. Let us not forget also that many who have wished to be mothers have found it either difficult or impossible. On Mother’s Day, we remember also those who, for many reasons, have given up their children. Being a woman is not, nor should it be, confined to a Hallmark greeting card. The sermon will insert poetry to bring us closer to some of the challenges of motherhood.

Discussion of Gather at the Table by Thomas Norma DeWolf & Sharon Leslie Morgan follows the service.
