Activities and Programs

Religious Education

Classes meet at 10:00 a.m. Classes are active throughout the year with the exception of the summer months. Please see RE page for more information.

Adult Discussion Group

Each Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. a discussion group is held that lasts until 10:45 a.m. (directly before Sunday morning service).  A scheduled Moderator usually introduces topics for 15 minutes, and a half hour discussion directly follows.

YRUU Young Religious Unitarian Universalists

UUCL Youth ages 12-20 come together to develope an effective system for social actions, and serve to raise our levels of mutual respect, communication, and community consciousness. Contact YRUU facilitator with questions, Ron Nickolas at  rlnuu@tampabay.rr.com or Rafi Ellis at rafiwrite@tampabay.rr.com.  Also follow this link for more information.

Earth Families

EarthFamilies is a chapter of the Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans.  We Gather each Sunday at 2 pm in the Social Hall for worship, celebration, education and fellowship.  The Second Sunday of every month is our popular beginner and family-friendly Drum & Rhythm Circle, no experience or instrument needed.

Anyone is welcome to join us to share in Earth-centered spirituality, including meditations, discussions, rituals and more. For current activities contact Theresa at tericay@juno.com or 863-605-3815.

Community Forum

Each Wednesday from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. in the Congregation’s Social Hall a public forum on topics of current evens is held.  This event sometimes includes presentations or noted speakers from the community.  This activity is generally suspended the summer months.

Social Concerns Committee

This is a standing committee whose members study and act upon important social issues of the day.  The group normally meets after Sunday morning service on the first Sunday of each month.

Church Women United

UUCL Members (both men and women) often participate in the CWU.  The meeting places for this activity rotate among the various local congregations.

Circle Dinners

Once a month, potluck dinners in a member’s home allow both members and friends of the Congregation alike to get to know one another.  These events are usually held on the third weekend of each month.

Potluck Luncheons

Every second Sunday—directly after the Sunday morning service—a potluck luncheon is held for social gathering.
