Rev. Garner will preach on Being Safe, Being Accountable.

How do we make our campus safe in every respect? What steps do we need to take immediately, and what steps can wait? She will include in this sermon information about the very disturbing subject of clergy sexual abuse, which unfortunately, has not been limited to non-UU congregations.

Also included in that service will be some music and words related to Hispanic American Heritage month, which occurs from September 15 to October 15. The name and celebration of this month is not without controversy, and Rev. Garner will deliver a meditation on how we can honor our Latino/a/ex neighbors and respect the disagreements that have arisen about the celebration.
