October 29

This will be a combination service, both commemorating the 500th anniversary of Martin Luther’s nailing his theses to the church door in Wittenberg and also the Day of the Dead.

If you have never seen Martin Luther commemorated in an ofrenda, this is your chance. Steve Abney will be talking about Luther in Words for All Ages and Rev. Lynne will provide a meditation on why Luther, flawed though he was, is so important to our Unitarian and Universalist history.

There will be a homily on a broader view of Day of the Dead, regardless of our ethnic heritage, and the chance for the congregation to come forward and commemorate a loved person or animal that they have lost.  Please also bring item (photos, things the loved one liked) for the ofrenda table.
